What is the purpose of a safety switch?

Common Reasons for Frequent RCD Tripping

How to reset your safety switch
To get your RCD working again, you will need to reset it if it keeps tripping. Find the main toggle switch in your device to reset your RCD. It can be labeled the main switch or the largest at the top of the RCD. This will vary from one device to the next. It is often located in the opposite position of the rest, so the toggle switch can be found if you have difficulty finding it. The switch is off.
