Keir Starmer dismisses claims that Labour volunteers supporting Kamala Harris made “illegal” foreign contributions, repudiating any wrongdoing.
Keir Starmer, British Prime Minister, responded directly to the allegations directly from Donald Trump’s team, Republican Presidential candidate, that the upcoming election is undergoing pre-poll rigging and interference, claimed Labour Party Officials.
The UK Premier claimed good ties with Trump on Wednesday, a day after the accusation of former US President on Labour party for blatant foreign interference on part of the visit of foreign volunteer travelers who expressed their inclination towards help for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris,
Starmer talked to reporters en route to a meeting with the leader of the Commonwealth at the Pacific Island of Samoa. He said the volunteers paid with their will, and his party had nothing to do with those transactions. They did not ask or demand those payments. They do not deny the fact, but they claim they have done nothing wrong.
A complaint has been filed by Trump’s team to the Federal Election Commission in Washington, DC, demanding a thorough investigation against what they have called illegal foreign national contributions by labour to Harris campaign.
US rules categorically mention that financial contributions by foreign volunteers are not allowed.
Trump’s team posed allegations with evidence of deleted LinkedIn post by Sofia Patel, Labour Director of Operations in which provokes visitors to come to the state of North Carolina offering them facilitation in housing.
Starmer said that The Labour Party has its volunteers who participate with their contributions in every election, and they do so in their spare time. That is what they had done in the previous election and that is the same thing they have done right now which is quite straightforward.
At Trump Tower residence of former US President Donald Trump, Starmer met him on a two-hour dinner meeting in New York last month.
He expressed that his purpose was to ensure healthy relationships between both and establish good ties which he has succeeded in, and he felt very grateful to the former US President Donald Trump over managing time for him.
